Day Twenty Six - 6/29

Today is the day I have been waiting for. A friend of mine dropped me off at Detroit airport for a 3:00 pm flight directly into Atlanta. From there I met up with the rest of the EXACT Sports team. Sam Morgan would be the camp lead, along with Teddy Romas and Jack Neumann. Last night I received an email from Simon Clements with the coaches packet and a camp plan attached. Along with this document, Simon also sent out a camp “roadmap”. This document listed the onsite EXACT Sports team along with off-site contacts. It listed all the camp information in which I, the rest of the team, and coaches would need. For example contact information for the facility, we have rented. What equipment was being delivered/already there for us to set up? The hotel information for the team/residential campers. The facility's address, along with any COVID-19 protocols. A final document was to myself and the EXACT Sports on-site team. This email listed every piece of information we needed for us to execute the camp. It included a detailed schedule of each day with specific times. It had listed all the external companies we would be working with, for example, the catering services, yoga instructor, shuttle service, and rental companies along with their contact information. I was stunned by how detailed this email was, it even listed the closest Starbucks to us. We soon learned that this would be the cheat sheet to make this camp be a success. An early night was needed as tomorrow we will make our way over to the facility to set up.
