Today was another early start. We got in the rental car and made our way over to Starbucks to pick up breakfast and a couple of handles of coffee for the coaches. I was informed last night at dinner that this morning I would lead a warm-up for over 200. I’m perfectly okay with leading a warm-up, but I was slightly anxious with that amount of soccer players. This morning we had the goalkeepers showcase on field one. As soon as I arrived at the facility I started to set this up. We moved goals, and put chairs in the center of the field for the coaches to watch and set up cameras facing each of the 4 drills. Once this was set up, I went over to field 2 to set up my record-breaking, humongous warm-up for the field players. The players started turning up for the 9:00 am start. The goalkeepers went over to field one and the field players came over to meet at field 2. Despite being slightly anxious the warm-up went very well. After the warm-up, I told the field players which field they would be on next. They would disperse heading over for the first session of the day. I headed back up to the facility to start setting up the snack station for the first break of the day. Other than this the day was well underway. It was hot out, every so often I would refill the coaches’ cooler bags to make sure our coaches were well hydrated. It was the athletic training staff’s responsibility to make sure the player's water coolers were filled. This afternoon I would help the catering company bring in all the lunches for the day. After lunch, I continued to my duties making sure everything was running smoothly and everyone was having a good experience.
