Day Twenty Four - 6/25

Today I began my internship work for EXACT Sports in a similar fashion to almost every day. Checking my personal and EXACT email. Typically I use the first hour to catch up on communicating with any potential leads. This morning whilst doing my work for Tiffin University Men’s Soccer I received a google meet invite from Sam Morgan. This was for a “camp etiquette” meeting which was taking place both virtually and in-person (at the office in Chicago). With me working remotely, I tuned in at 1:15 pm. This meeting was delivered by multiple full-time staff members at EXACT Sports. With camp traveling coming up just next week. They offered valuable information along with taking the time to answer any questions or concerns any of the interns had. Honestly, before this meeting, I had no idea what to expect when it comes to my job/role when traveling for the camps. But after this meeting, It was much clearer to me what I have got myself into. Barry Tarter, the executive director also sent an email out later in the day. He wanted me and the other interns to help with the programming of building an artificial intelligence software to automate the identification of athletes' in-game videos ("computer vision"). He sent a link in which we would simply follow the instructions to help teach the algorithm. We would be meeting on Monday to discuss this more. But before this meeting he wanted us to make a start following the steps sent.
