It’s the beginning of week five. And to start the week like always we met as an operations team. Myself, Lisa Hardwart and Hannah Murphy discussed where we are at individually with our projects and our progress as a collective team. I felt like that the COVID protocol update project slightly side-tracked me from making the progress I wanted to. However, I knew when Barry Tarter, the executive director of EXACT Sports assigned me the task, it was important to put in the effort. In today’s meeting, we discussed a few techniques of how to go about our work efficiently and effectively. For me, I am motivated to see progress. This is a job that takes patience. Sometimes I could be talking with a company for a long period going back and forth in conversation before getting them “locked-in” to work with EXACT Sports. This is why it is important that the OPS document was created. The color-coded system gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I start seeing completed tasks turn green. Today my focus was back on shuttle companies. But again I found myself answering other emails today from catering companies that could be potential leads. In conclusion, I am happy with today’s progress. I had a few calls and found some potential companies that will be good leads. I got a couple of quotes that look to be within the price range. I have updated my supervisor Hannah on this progress to see what is next in the hope of locking them in.
