After a fun weekend in Atlanta, the batteries are recharged and I feel motivated to get the girl's camp underway. We spent some time last night at dinner as a team debriefing on what went well and what didn’t go well last time. For example, the yoga instructor bailing out last minute, but this was uncontrollable. We talked about tweaking a few minor details for example the location of where we set up lunches. This will help with the flow of our campers coming in and out of the small building in which the stage was set up. We arrived early at the RYSA soccer complex in Conyers, GA. This morning we got an early delivery of snacks from Costco. If you are interested in seeing the number of snacks, go to my “projects page”, it was humongous. And Jack got quickly to work bringing them inside out of the sun. It was nice because most of the setup was already complete. After this, I began working on the check-in station, which we another thing we adjusted slightly. Before we knew it was nearly time for checking. It went very smoothly and soon after check-in I would head over to the player's hotel to check in the campers leaving their bags in a safe room for them to conveniently come back to at the end of the day. Driving what seemed to be the biggest car in the world, I made it through the traffic back to the facility just in time to meet the catering company “MRD Foods” who have been amazing so far. After this, my duties for the day were simply to assist Teddy and Sam in operating the camp. After the camp, I raced back to the hotels to meet the pizza guys working alongside our chaperon names Will.
