Today I set myself a goal of reaching out to all of the yoga instructors I had found for each of the locations (Socal, Atlanta, Mid-Atlantic, Connecticut, Dallas, and Norcal). This task would take a long time but to help, I used the template in which was drawn up by my supervisor Hannah Murphy. This email was asking if they would be interested in leading two yoga sessions (both the boys and girls camp) on a specific date/time. Using the OPS document I would put the exact number of campers to give the instructor an image of how large the session will be. Then the email simply listed some more specifics, for example how long the session will be (50 mins) and what they would/wouldn’t need to bring with them (EXACT will supply them with a PA system). At the bottom of the email, I will list how much compensation they can receive depending on the number of campers that attend. Throughout my mentorship so far, I have felt like EXACT Sports and everyone I am working with is incredibly organized. However, at this moment I found myself asking Hannah “what’s next”. Hannah was a new part-time employee given the role of overseeing myself and Lisa and I don’t think she was quite prepared at this moment to give us the information we needed. If I was in her shoes I would have put together a full script for when we get a response from an interested yoga instructor. This way I could then respond without hesitation with the information they need to receive using about how they will be compensated.
