Day Fourteen - 6/11

Another week has gone by. I’m shocked at how fast the summer and this internship are going. Before I know it I will be traveling for camp. Chris Gordon recently sent an email regarding my travel schedule. Prior to this, he sent an email asking for my preference. He confirmed that I would be heading to Atlanta on June 30th - July 8th and Dallas on July 21st - 27th. Today I wanted to complete all of the research so that next week I can focus on initial contact (calls/emails). The amount of different documents we are using is slightly overwhelming. At this moment in time, I feel like I am working on all projects trying to get them all complete. Maybe this comes with more experience. But I feel like the more efficient way of doing this would be to complete a separate task for all locations before moving on to the next. One of the reasons I chose not to do this is because I like to feel productive. The process of researching, contacting, bartering, and finally, confirmation can take time and I soon become inpatient. That’s when I cross over to working on something else to make the most of my time (probably not a bad way to work). To conclude this week has been very productive for me. I am well prepared to update my fellow team in our weekly staff meeting on Monday. And I also have planned a few questions to ask my supervisors.
