It’s Monday and to start off the weekend we had an operations staff meeting via google meet. This was an opportunity to recap what was talked about in the previous meeting. And to see if anyone had any questions about how we're going to move forward with the vendor village project. At this moment I decided to ask for some examples of previous vendors EXACT Sports had worked with. They gave us a list of “types” we could think about. This included media, apparel, food and beverage, cryotherapy, recruiting services, tournaments, sports equipment, sports psychologist, and athletic trainers.Hannah, who led this meeting decided to assign both myself and Lisa to different locations. This was a great way of efficiently tackling this project. She was very organized, creating a google sheet with historical leads and tabs for our research in all 7 areas. Each lead would then be color-coded depending on the communication stage. I was assigned to focus on the SoCal, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and NorCal camps. Hannah had made a google sheet which was very well organized. Keen to start I began researching the SoCal area Temecula, CA to be specific, for potential Vendors. For the specific region, I found lots of food and beverage companies along with fitness centers and gyms that could be good vendors. The research conducted was slightly tedious and would take me a long time to collect a sufficient amount of both local companies and global companies in which as based around the SoCal area.
