It is the beginning of week 4. And to start the week I have an operations staff meeting via google meet. This is a chance for us to all get on the same page updating each other on progress throughout all tasks leading up to the summer camps. Today I had planned to return my focus to the vendor village project. As of now, I have lots of research gathered on a spreadsheet. Using the email template I had received from Hannah I will send those out. However, this plan was stalled when Barry Tarter who is the executive director of EXACT Sports reached out to me. Barry wanted me to make a start on another task which was to gather updated COVID-19 information for EXACT’s volleyball and basketball camos coming up throughout the next year. From Barry’s instruction, It was clear to me what the task was. At this moment COVID-19 rules keep changing and it was my job to get the latest information so that campers have the correct information. Attached to this email was, yet again, another well-organized spreadsheet. I would simply go down this humongous list of venues, find their contact information, and call them. I would then ask whether spectators are allowed, or if there are any limitations or rules related to attendance. And whether it is mandatory for the athletes/spectators to wear masks. If NO, are there other times that they are required, or is maskless ok? This task was going to take a long time and I knew I would face some challenges working on this throughout the next week.
